Farshid Sanavi, DMD, PhD
Meet Dr. Sanavi
Dr. Sanavi received his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dental Medicine and completed his post-doctoral training as a Research Fellow at the University of Rochester. He received his certificate of Periodontics and PhD in Immunal Pathology, from the University of Pennsylvania. He was past Professor at the University of Pennsylvania Department of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry and Research Coordinator of the Implant Research Center at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dental Medicine.
Currently he is Clinical Professor in the Department of Periodontics at Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry.
The author of many highly regarded articles, abstracts, and book chapters related to Periodontology, Dr. Sanavi has conducted extensive research in the field of Periodontics. He has received many distinguished awards, including the George Coslet Award and the Chase Award in Periodontics from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dental Medicine. He belongs to numerous national societies, including the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, the International Association of Dental Research, and has served as a member of various committees in these organizations.
