James Torosian, DMD

Meet Dr. Torosian

Dr. James Torosian holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and a DMD and a Certificate in Periodontology from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dental Medicine.

Presently he is a Clinical Associate Professor of Periodontics at Temple University’s Kornberg School of Dentistry.  Dr. Torosian previously served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Periodontics at the University of Pennsylvania. He has also been affiliated with the Beth Israel Medical Center in New York Center as a General Practice Resident, Chief Resident, and Associate Attending Dentist in the Department of Dentistry. He has also been a Clinical Instructor of Dentistry at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.

His research interests include implant dentistry and the oral manifestations of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS).  He has written a number of articles on Oral Cancer, AIDS, Implantology, Clinical and Microbiological aspects of Periodontal Diseases, and Esthetic Procedures in Dentistry. He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology and the Academy of Osseointegration.  Dr. Torosian is also a Fellow in the American Association of Hospital Dentists.
